Midtgard Bridge

Midtgard Bridge is designed to be a typical Shuttle Tanker bridge. The lay-out and content of the bridge is reflecting this. All fitted equipment for navigation, monitoring, controlling and communication is very close to “real life” equipment relating to functionality and operation.

The bridge has also multi-purpose ability, i.e. in addition to cover a wide range of shuttle tankers; it may be used to cover, but not limited to, maneuvering of floating rigs, ship to ship operations and general ship handling.

  • K-Thrust Thruster Control System with manual levers, panel interfaceand Thruster Control Controllers with network based interface to SMSC Simulator. 
  • DP-TC communication as for Integrated Automation Systems as delivered to real ships.
  • The K-Thrust system includes command transfer between DP operation andmanual lever operation.
  • A Thruster Control Operator Station is included for detailed monitoring of

  • Two K-Bridge radar units with interface to SMSC simulator via Transceiver Interface Cards.

  • The K-Bridge Sensor Integrator unit emulated by the DP Controller. 
  • Radar and ECDIS receive measurements via the Sensor Integrator Unit. This
